How to read the Nigeria desk
English is the language of the national Nigerian press. Punch, Guardian, Vanguard, Premium Times, and Channels are the doors on this list. Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo press exists. It is not this list.
Lagos sets a lot of the English weather. Abuja is the political desk. That is not the same as Kano or Port Harcourt. We list national titles, not every state paper.
English-language Nigeria is not a thin desk. It is a loud one. The risk is the opposite of Chad: too many headlines, not enough of the local paper. Open Punch or Premium Times before you take a London rewrite.
This search is the country. Name collisions are uncommon. Fuel, the naira, and the army will dominate the English wire. That is not the whole press.
